State your name, and where your kennel is located.
My name is Javier Figueroa, owner of Bori Bullys. I’m 34 years old, and my kennel is located in Vega Baja, Puerto Rico.

What type of dogs do you breed, and what inspired you to get involved with that particular breed?
I ‘ve been working with dogs since I was 14 years old, but owning a bully was a dream, and it was time to have my own kennel. The dog I want to breed is bully pocket. This breed inspired me because they’re so loyal, and loving. I couldn’t ask for a more perfect breed.

What type of diet do you keep your dogs on throughout the year?
I keep all of my bully’s on either Pro Plan or Purina Dog Chow. Also, every 3 days I feed chicken, and I give some Dyne to the puppies.

What is your favorite bloodline?
I love both Razors Edge and Gottiline, but my favorite was Dax R.I.P.

Do you currently show, any of your dogs?
I’m not currently showing my dogs right now. Hopefully in the near future.

What advice do you have for any upcoming breeders?
Always try to keep your dogs as healthy as possible.

What do you think, is the most difficult thing for people in the bully game to overcome?
I think the exotic game. Some people hate. Some people love. But in that area of the game, I see a lot of different opinions.

How do you think they can overcome this thing?
If you love any breed, just stay in your lane, and focus on breeding healthy dogs.

Tell us about one of your most memorable moments, in 2016 so far.
When I bought my dog Molly. That is my most memorable moment. I was super happy and afraid. The guy at the airport almost killed me of heart attack. He didn’t want to give me my bully because of a paperwork confusion, and some regulations in my country. She definitely changed my life, and she is so especial to me.

Describe how you would want things, in the bully Commuity, to be 10 years from now.
I would like to see less hate, and more healthy bully’s.

What separates your kennel from the competition?
I want my own bloodline with a clean muzzle, full tail, and compact frame. But the most important thing to me is having healthy dogs.

What other hobbies or interests do you take part in?
I enjoy playing baseball.

What motto do you live by?
Put God first.

I think Bully Girl Magazine is doing a great job with everything they do for the bully breed, and the community. Keep up the good work!
