Golden Luxor Bullies: American Bully Breeder | Czech Republic

Golden Luxor Bullies

State your name, your kennel, and where your kennel is located.
My name is Tereza Bendova, founder of Golden Luxor Bullies. I live in Malonice. It’s near Pilsen, Czech Republic.

What type of dogs do you breed, and what inspired you to get involved with that particular breed?
I currently have 3 American Bully’s, 2 female and 1 male. It was my big dream. I thought I would have just one dog, but they are perfect and I couldn’t have just one.

In your opinion, what are the characteristics of a responsible dog breeder?
Responsible breeders must have a lot of time for their dogs. They must love them, and be patient. Most importantly, they must only breed to other healthy dogs. Responsible breeders are careful when purchasing a dog. Not everything cheap is good.

What type of diet do you keep your dogs on throughout the year?
At Golden Luxor Bullies, our dogs eat meat, vegetables, and dry food. They also receive necessary vitamins (chondro). I think this is best for them.

What is your favorite bloodline?
My favorite bloodline is Phenom Bloodline. My lilac tri female, Khaleesi is Phenom.

Do you currently show any of your dogs?
I was in the BRNO ABKC show with my female bully, Khaleesi. This year, she won in Hungary and in Czech too.

What advice does Golden Luxor Bullies have for any upcoming breeders?
Be patient, dedicate lots of time, and only breed healthy dogs.

What do you think is the most difficult thing for people in the bully game to overcome?
Real bullies are expensive dogs. Be careful with buying a dog. People pay $500 for a dog but it doesn’t look like a bully and it has health propblems. Don’t buy the first puppy you see. Wait for the perfect one. I think they must have muscle, but not too much. If they look like muscle monsters, without legs and necks, they are not healthy looking.

Tell us about one of Golden Luxor Bullies main goals for the year 2020.
My goals for 2020 are to travel the world to more ABKC shows with my dogs. Of course I want to win some shows. Most importantly, I just want to take 100% care of them and be happy.

Describe how you would want things, in the bully breed Community, to be 10 years from now.
I would like everyone to realize that it is not about the money and how the dog looks. What’s important is if their dogs are healthy and happy. Everyone knows that a bully is not a fighting dog. They are perfect family members. Of course if stupid people have dogs, they can be bad. But it’s not just about bullies, amstaff’s, etc.

What separates Golden Luxor Bullies from the competition?
It’s hard to say. I think I have perfect looking dogs. My dogs are healthy, friendly and loving.

What other hobbies or interests do you take part in?
My boyfriend races in Rallycross. So my second hobby is to support and help him.

What do you think of Bully Girl Magazine?
I think Bully Girl Magazine is great! It’s perfect for people who lack knowledge of the bully breed, and it’s also a good read for breeders too.
