Rybos Bullies: XL American Bully Breeder | Florida

Rybos Bullies

Who is Rybos Bullies?

State your name, and where your kennel is located.
My name is Ryan. Friends and family call me Rybo. My kennel, Rybos Bullies, is located in Okeechobee, Florida.

What type of dogs do you breed, and what inspired you to get involved with that particular breed?
I myself breed XL American Bullies and APBT’s (American Pit Bull Terriers). When I was in middle school I got involved with APBT’s. I would hog hunt a lot, and it was always a competition with my friends to see who’s dog was better and would catch more hogs etc.. So eventually we started putting our favorite dogs with other game dogs to try and create the perfect dog. I always looked at breeding as an art, and I’m trying to paint a Picasso.

What type of diet do you keep your dogs on throughout the year?
I feed the dogs mostly dry food, but I like to feed raw as much as possible, such as: deer, hog, and such. Then i’ll mix in a bunch of veggies with their meat and add coconut oil, flax seed, and egg shells for calcium.

What is your favorite bloodline?
That’s a tough one. In my yard I have Greyline, XB, Gottiline, Redlion, and Mugleston. Also I can’t forget some Razors Edge!

Do you currently show, any of your dogs?
Currently no. I’m doing 1-Year on house arrest right now, but in 2018 you will see us at a show near you 100%.

What advice do you have for any upcoming breeders?
Start with the best stock you can find. Do your research and buy from experienced breeders. Also, if you’re in it for the money you shouldn’t be here. It cost a lot of money to take care of these animals, and it is a 24/7 job. You’ve got to have the passion for it, I guess.

What do you think, is the most difficult thing for people in the bullygame to overcome?
That their dog looks like shit lol. People are blind to their own flaws. Of course everyone is gonna think their dog is the best, but being a responsible breeder means being able to recognize flaws and imperfections. Then you need to fix them, or if it’s not healthy don’t breed it period.

How do you think they can overcome this thing?
Listen to peoples criticism and fix what you’re doing wrong. Not everyone is a hater. Some people just call it how they see it.

Who do you look up to in the bully game, and why?
MVP Bullies Jarad Derochey is my dude. He produced my number 1 stud Brad Pit, and has had a very successful kennel. He’s always humble and answers any questions anybody has for him. He really does want to see people do good and see the breed better itself.

Tell us about one of Rybos Bullies most memorable moments, in 2017 so far.
This year I bought a bigger house with more land for the dogs to run. It was a big step, but I’m happy if the dogs are.

Describe how you would want things, in the bully Community, to be 10 years from now.
I would like to see others helping others, instead of putting them down. There’s a lot of drama in the bully community, and I try to stay out of it. But yeah, help your people out. Show them your tricks, teach them, and explain to them the things they need to know, so they can better their stock and improve their kennel.

What separates Rybos Bullies from the competition?
I don’t compete. I’m just a guy with a bunch of dogs, that enjoys producing quality bullies for others to enjoy.

What other hobbies or interests do you take part in?
I have Leopard Catahoulas, and one AM Bully named Django that I like to hog hunt with. It’s a great bonding experience with a man and his dog, to go out in the woods and catch a monster Barr hog. Ye yeee catch em boy!

What motto do you live by?
Be good or be good at it!

What do you think of Bully Girl Magazine?
Good stuff, great mag! I enjoy it. Bullies and girls, what’s better than that? Stay positive, help others, and be kind to animals.
