State your name, your kennel, and where your kennel is located.
My name is Bryan Terry, founder of Greek Gods Kennels. You can find us in Millersville, Maryland.
What type of dogs do you breed, and what inspired you to get involved with that particular breed?
I breed Exotic American Bully’s. What inspired me to get involved with this particular breed is the features these dogs possess. The dog’s girth, bone structure, smashed mug, elbows, just the whole exotic look itself, was just very rare to me. With that, it drew me in, and I wanted to produce this style of breed.
What type of diet do you keep your dogs on throughout the year?
My dogs are on a dry food diet. I use a brand called “FROM”. I use this diet all year round.
What is your favorite bloodline?
My favorite bloodline is Gottiline. Gottiline is the umbrella for different strands of bloodlines such as Miagi, Bape, and Bullseye.
Do you currently show, any of your dogs?
I do not show any of my dogs, however I do attend the bully shows.
What advice do you have for any upcoming breeders?
The advice I have for upcoming breeders such as myself, would be don’t get so caught up with social media. A lot of it is B.S. and some of it is real. Sometimes it can make you lose your vision. Focus on where you want to take your program.
What do you think, is the most difficult thing for people in the bully game to overcome?
The most difficult thing in the Bully game to overcome, in my opinion are taking losses. To elaborate on that, when you’re expecting a breeding to be confirmed and you find out your female did not take, or you lose the puppies, or lose the mom and her puppies. Here at Greek Gods Kennels every breeding counts. I try to match every breeding up to its max potential, which brings me a step closer to my vision.
How do you think they can overcome this thing?
You can’t overcome this. It’s life or as people in the Bully breeding game would say “it’s part of the game”. It’s a tragic loss, and when you put the time, money, and effort into the breeding, it’s crazy. So my advice in general for any type of losses, is to move on from it, gain the knowledge, advice, and criticism. Then incorporate all of that into your program to become stronger. Also rack up on females LOL…
Who do you look up to in the bully game, and why?
There are kennels that inspire me. The kennels I talk to have been in the game for a very long time. I pick their brains, and take the knowledge and advice they give me to create my own perspective of it. Then I incorporate it into my program.
Tell us about one of Greek Gods Kennels main goals going into the year 2018.
My main goals for 2018 are: to really start producing badass bulls, building my brand, making a market for myself, and just gaining a lot of knowledge. You can never get enough knowledge. Also, I just want to make Greek Gods Kennels a very well-known kennel that produces very nice, family oriented, exotic bullies.
Describe how you would want things, in the bully breed Community, to be 10 years from now.
I would love for everybody within the Bully community to come together as one. There shouldn’t be any discrimination on any type of bully breed. We all are producing the style of dogs that each of us as individuals like.
There is a style of dog for every customer, whether it’s for a family dog, or maybe it’s a customer who wants to start breeding. We are a business, and we are providing a product, where we give the people a choice.
What separates Greek Gods Kennels from the competition?
What separates Greek Gods Kennels from the competition, is that there is no competition mind set in my kennel. In my opinion, the minute you think it’s about competition you have already lost. You lose focus on what you really wanted for your program. I’m in my own lane. I make my own moves, with my own vision. “Greek Gods Kennels where every breeding counts”.
What other hobbies or interests do you take part in?
Other hobbies or interests I take part in are weight lifting, I like to try different cigars, landscaping, vehicle detailing and home improvement projects.
What do you think of Bully Girl Magazine?
I love that Bully Girl Magazine welcomes all styles of bully breeds, and they do not discriminate. Bully Girl Magazine’s articles are very informative, and extremely interesting. They do not leave out the up and coming breeders, or as most people say “the little people”. Also, BGM publishes the bully breed dogs, and topics that attract them, and not the hype!
