Banda's Blues

State your name, your kennel, and where your kennel is located.
Our names are Emiliano Banda and Rose Garcia. Our Kennel name is Banda’s Blues “Apache Country”. We are located in Sunny Central California.

What type of dogs do you breed, and what inspired you to get involved with that particular breed?
We breed the “APBT” American Pit Bull Terrier & American Bully. I saw some very amazing pups out of Patty Allen’s yard “Allen’s Country”, that my cousin had. I must have been 9 or 10 years old at the time. We always had pit bulls, but these pups were different.

What is your favorite bloodline?
I would have to say our own. Our favorite lines to incorporate are Remyline, Gottyline, Razors Edge, and others. Our foundation lines consist of Knowlwood, Gaff, Tuff Town, and others.

In your opinion, what are the characteristics of a responsible dog breeder?
Consistency, passion for the breed and involvement with the community.

What type of diet do you keep your dogs on throughout the year?
Dry kibble mostly. We mix in brown rice, chicken, and eggs, to bulk the dogs up from time to time.

How many times a day do you feed your dogs?
We feed our dogs 1-2 times daily, depending on whether it’s show or breeding season.

How do you keep your dogs in shape throughout the year?
Walks and fetch mostly.

Walk us through the process of purchasing a pup from your kennel from start to finish.
Contacting us is the first step to inquire about the kind of pup or dog that will fit you and your family. When you find the pup or breeding that fits, you will then confirm and send your deposit for said pup.

If it’s a breeding, you will have to wait on a list until said pups are open for pick and/or deposit. When pups reach 8-12 weeks, depending on contract or other procedures,
balance shall be paid and the pup/dog will be shipped out or be available for pick up.

Do you currently show any of your dogs?
Yes, we currently show Golden Gurl, Nalah, and are currently preparing others for next show season.

What advice do you have for any upcoming breeders?
Stay true to the breed and your passion. If you don’t have a passion for the breed, walk away.
