State your name, your kennel, and where your kennel is located.
We are Reginald and Lorraine Crumpton, founders of Crump’s Bullies, LLC. You can find us in Covington, GA.
What type of dogs do you breed, and what inspired you to get involved with that particular breed?
We breed American Pitbull Terriers, and American Bullies. I have always bred and been into American Pit Bull Terriers. The characteristics, appearance, and loyalty of this breed of dog is what inspired us to continue to breed.
What type of diet do you keep your dogs on throughout the year?
We feed our puppies Diamond Puppy Food until they are 1 year of age. After a year of age, we migrate them over to a Raw Diet, which consists of chicken and beef with organ meat, such as: liver, heart, tripe, etc.
What is your favorite bloodline?
Wow, there are some many great bloodlines out there. However, Greyline would have to be my favorite.
Do you currently show, any of your dogs?
We currently do not show dogs. However, we do sponsor and attend shows. We have several of our productions that are in shows.
What advice does Crumps Bullies have for any upcoming breeders?
I would have advise upcoming breeders to remain positive, and continue to make this breed great. Focus solely on your vision, and create your own hype. Don’t follow the hype. Breed responsibly and be honest.
What do you think, is the most difficult thing for people in the bully game to overcome?
The reputation of the American Bully/American Pitbull Terrier has been bad for some time. There have been issues with dog fighting, people attacks, and irresponsible breeding.
How do you think they can overcome this thing?
As a breeder, you have to change this vision. Produce quality dogs, and ensure new dog owners get exactly what they want, without any surprises. Honesty and an open door policy will always open up opportunities to prove an individual differently. Sharing knowledge is key also.
Who do you look up to in the bully game, and why?
There are a few kennels we look up to. However, two that really stand out to use are:
New Age Pitbulls in Stockton, CA. We had a very smooth transaction when we purchased our foundation female Ashanti. I told Ovonji Powell exactly what I wanted, and he provided exactly that. Ashanti has gained so much respect in the bully game. Ovonji continues to produce quality dogs, and has over 10 years of experience in the Bully Game.
Top Dog Bullies in Canton, GA. They have knowledge and have produced some great dogs. Top Dog Bullies has also have been in the bully game for over 10 years. Our male Remy is off Shorty from their kennel. Top Dog Bullies provides outstanding customer service, and they also have an open door policy.
Both of these kennels are very close to us. We have built a great relationship and friendship, which is hard to come by.
Tell us about one of Crumps Bullies main goals going into the year 2018.
2018 is a year for our kennel to introduce more color, while keeping the structure of our dogs. We would also like to get more international customers, and continue to provide knowledge about this awesome breed of dog.
Describe how you would want things, in the bully breed Community, to be 10 years from now.
In years 10, I want this breed to be one of top breeds in the world. I want to see the responsible Bully Breeders get recognized for all the hard work and dedication. It would also be great to see more positive feedback in the media.
What separates Crumps Bullies from the competition?
We treat our customers with the greatest customer service. We take the time to get a complete understanding of their goals, and provide them with knowledge whether they have purchased from us before or not. Also, I love to cook. So, we make sure they have some of my great food while they are here at Crump’s Bullies. They are treated as family, period.
What other hobbies or interests do you take part in?
We are technology geeks. My wife and I love all sorts of electronics such as: cellular devices, gaming consoles, and PCs. We are also big sport fans. Lastly, we love doing community service. Giving back is very important to us.
What do you think of Bully Girl Magazine?
Bully Girl Magazine is great! I love the social media content and the great exposure Bully Girl brings to this great breed. Keep up the great work!
