State your name, and where your kennel is located.
My name is Jonathan Santos. My kennel is New England Gottiline, located in Massachusetts.

What type of dogs do you breed, and what inspired you to get involved with that particular breed?
I breed standard size and extreme American Bully’s. We also have a few pockets. I always loved the look of gottiline dogs. They have huge heads, necks, and massive boneI

What type of diet do you keep your dogs on throughout the year?
I am big on the raw diet. But sometimes I will feed them kibble. I like Taste of the Wild brand.

What is your favorite bloodline?
I like all of the bloodlines, but Gottiline is my favorite.

Do you currently show, any of your dogs?
No, I haven’t shown any of my dogs in a while. I took a break from the shows for while, but you never know, I might come back.

What advice do you have for any upcoming breeders?
Do your homework. Visit as many dog shows as you can, to see these dogs in person. Also, visit kennels and do your research on the owners of these dogs. Make sure they are good breeders, that do straight business. Too many people have been burned.

What is the most difficult thing for people in the bully game to overcome?
I think the most difficult thing for newcomers is learning how to train their dogs for the show ring, and learning how to become smart and successful breeders.

How do you think they can overcome this thing?
They need to spend a lot of time reading, and doing research. Also, find a mentor who you can call or go to for advice.

Who do you look up to in the bully game, and why?
I wouldn’t say that I look up to anyone in particular in the bully game. I will say that I admire people like Dave Wilson and Richard Barajas for starting major movements in the bully game.

Looking back at 2014, tell us about one of your most memorable moments in the bully game.
I would say dealing with all of the snow we got in the northeast. For those of us in the dog world, it was a big challenge keeping up with all the kennels.

Describe how you would want things, in the bully Commuity, to be 10 years from now.
I would like to see the American bully keep moving in a positive direction, with more dogs being DNA profiled. I would also like to see more dog shows in the northeast.

What separates your kennel from the competition?
We do our best to produce healthy and correct dogs, that are show quality. We also do 100% straight business with anyone looking to get a pet from us.

What other hobbies or interests do you take part in?
I enjoy lifting weights and fishing, but Brazilian Jiu Jitsu is my real passion.

What motto do you live by?

What do you think of Bully Girl magazine?
I have watched this magazine grow. It just keeps getting better an better. Much respect.We salute you guys!
