State your name, your kennel, and where your kennel is located.
My name is Gary Munoz. My kennel name is Perfect World Bullies. You can find us in Brooklyn, NY.
What type of dogs do you breed, and what inspired you to get involved with that particular breed?
We breed American bullies, but we are getting more into the exotic side of it. We are trying to breed a nice exotic look, without the dog looking messy. The goal is to keep it as clean as we can.
What type of diet do you keep your dogs on throughout the year?
We mostly feed them dry food. There are times when we mix both dry and raw nutrition. This is so they don’t grow tired of there food, and we try to not over feed them as much.
What is your favorite bloodline?
My favorite bloodline at this moment, if I had to choose, would be Hazeline. That’s because I’m starting to really focus on that line. I love the work interstate bullies is doing and the rare look they have made for themselves. I want that style to show through my dogs also.
Do you currently show, any of your dogs?
I don’t really have the chance to go to shows. However, I recently showed up to the new stars fun show in Allentown. It was a great experience seeing all different styles of American bullies everyone has, and the style people choose for themselves.
What advice does Perfect World Bullies have for any upcoming breeders?
My advice would be to go for what they like. Don’t follow the hype or have someone tell you what style you should focus on. Enjoy being around the dogs, and never lose the love for it. Also do your research before getting into the bully game. Learn the rights and wrongs, and ask more experienced breeders for advice when needed.
What do you think, is the most difficult thing for people in the bully game to overcome?
For me the most difficult thing for people to overcome in the bully game is the hype. You may be trying to build exposure for your dogs, but everyone else just focuses on what’s trending right now. Also, the hate you get from people who have been in the game longer than you. They don’t like to see you doing well for yourself, in such a shorter time than them.
How do you think they can overcome this thing?
Stay in your own lane and always focus on your kennel. Always stay positive on every choice you make, even when you think it didn’t go as well as you hoped.
Who do you look up to in the bully game, and why?
That would be Interstate Bullies. However, I wouldn’t say I look up to them, but I really like what they have done for themselves and the dogs they have produced. I also admire the respect they have from fellow breeders.
Tell us about one of Perfect World Bullies main goals going into the year 2018.
One of my main goals going into 2018, is getting the breeding I have planned to really happen, and see my plans grow.
Describe how you would want things, in the bully breed Community, to be 10 years from now.
Ten years from now I would like to see less hate on the different styles of American bully people have. We are all different and we all won’t have the same taste when it comes to the style of these dogs. However, that doesn’t mean you have to talk negative on it. I would love to see everyone support each other.
What separates Perfect World Bullies from the competition?
What separates my kennel from the competition is the difference in dogs we have. We’re not chasing the same style as everyone else. We are trying to put our own look out there. Also, we are very humble about everyone we have been blessed to meet.
What other hobbies or interests do you take part in?
I enjoy making and engineering music. I love anything to do with music.
What do you think of Bully Girl Magazine?
Bully Girl Magazine is an amazing movement. They support the bully community to the fullest, and I have much respect for what you guys do.
