Who is Rayment Boss Bully Kennels?
State your name, and tell our bully breed enthusiasts where your kennel is located.
Our names are Thomas Rayment and John Mazuras, of Rayment Boss Bully Kennels. Our kennel is based in Manchester, UK. You can contact us via our Instagram @raymentbossbullykennels.
What type of dogs do you breed? Tell us what inspired you to get involved with that particular breed?
Rayment Boss Bully Kennels breeds American Pocket Bullys. Christopher Lloyd, of Invincibullz is a very good friend and colleague of ours. He introduced us to these dogs. We became inspired to breed these dogs when we saw the impressive size and structure, which gives the overall look of power. In addition to their amazing temperament, particularly within a family environment.
What type of diet do you keep your dogs on throughout the year?
At our kennel, we give keep our dogs maintained on a raw-food diet with mixed vegetables. We supplement their diet with Bully Max tablets to give them everything they need nutritionally to help them reach their full potential.
What is your favorite bloodline?
This is such a tough question to answer. We have a couple of favorite bloodlines, and these run throughout our program. These include Homie Blood, from the Bully Market, represented by our bitch, Hard Copy, who we have recently bred to another of their most famous dogs Grand Champion Thee Buss – we excitedly await confirmation of a successful insemination. Our other favorite bloodline is the Magoo line, represented by our bitch Storm, who we have big plans for in the near future. We feel that the Homie bloodline represents perfect structure, and the Magoo line is as clean as you can get for such an extreme Bully.
Do you currently show, any of your dogs?
Yes, we are relatively new breeders. However, we have attended all of the UK shows, along with a show in Holland. Next year, we plan to tour Europe on a campaign to Champion/Grand Champion our dogs.
What advice do you have for any upcoming breeders?
As new breeders, the only advice we could give is to not buy the first dog you see. Do some research about the breed. Find out what it is you want for your program. There are so many breeders who are only in it for the money. They are breeding unhealthy dogs with flaws that don’t meet the criteria of what an American Bully actually is.
What do you think, is the most difficult thing for people in the bully game to overcome?
Social media can be misleading to uninformed buyers. This can be difficult for people to overcome. A lot of popular breeder are producing incorrect dogs, and misrepresenting the true American Bully with incorrect and unhealthy dogs.
How do you think they can overcome this thing?
This is going to be very difficult to overcome. Some people might not have the money to buy another correct dog. New breeders are then left to base their program on the flawed and unhealthy dogs they were misled into buying in the first place. This is why it is so important to do your research.
Who do you look up to in the bully game, and why?
There are a lot of old-school people in the Bully game that we feel have represented the breed correctly from day one, for example Ed Shepard, Kev Brentford, and the original Lounge members. However, for us personally, and right now in the Bully game, we particularly look up to Robert Lee, as he has given us a lot of advice, and helped us to realize exactly what is it we want from our program. We feel that Robert maintains the standards of a correct American Bully dog through his own program, and we respect his commitment to educating others through his pod-casts.
We also admire Ty Lumley because of the way his program is run. His pod-casts are listened to internationally. We love the way he is always giving invaluable advice on how to breed properly. Ty Lumley also speaks about what an American Bully actually is, and how they should be represented.
Tell us about one of Rayment Boss Bully Kennels most memorable moments, in 2017 so far.
This would have to be the last show we went to, the ABKC Euro Cup in Newark, England. Our girl, Storm, took first place in both shows aged 9-12 months, in addition to taking reserve in Best Female Overall. This took Storm to 3 first places in three shows. We can not wait for the next shows to see how our girl gets on.
Describe how you would want things, in the bully Community, to be 10 years from now.
In ten years, hopefully the hype around incorrect and unhealthy bully breed dogs, can be diminished. With the help of information from Robert Lee and Ty Lumley’s pod casts, Youtube videos, and interviews. Don’t get me wrong, we do love extreme Bullys with huge mass and muscle. However, if it can not walk properly or is not agile, then this is not a true American Bully. This is a new breed, and people need to realize that it takes time to get where we want to be. That is if we want to do it the right way and have healthy dogs, who are the all-around perfect family companions.
What separates Rayment Boss Bully Kennels from the competition?
The commitment we have to breeding and showing our dogs is what separates us. We have a strong willingness to learn. Also, the main thing is that we are not kennel-blind. We see our flaws, and we want to correct them and better our dogs with each breeding.
What other hobbies or interests do you take part in?
Right now, we have no time for anything else. This is our life, and this is our family life. We are focusing on completing our yard, for the benefit of our dogs, and the progression of our program. #BullyLife
What motto do you live by?
We are in it for the long haul, no shortcuts!
What do you think of Bully Girl Magazine?
We feel it is an excellent source of information. Bully Girl Magazine is the eyes for the entire bully world. There are tons of interviews showing where breeders want to go with their program. We feel that this is one of the ways that can help bully breeders in the future. Bully Girl Magazine is letting people know who the legitimate breeders are.
We would like to thank Bully Girl Magazine for acknowledging us, and taking the time to help us show our love and passion for the breed.
