State your name, your kennel, and where your kennel is located.
My name is Frankie Paul Morreo III, founder of Slow N Low Bullys (IG: @slownlow_bullys_rbt). We are also part of the Rez Bully Team (Native American Show Team). You can find us in Hemet, CA.
What type of dogs do you breed?
I breed American Bully’s, mainly Razors Edge. Inspired by the show dogs, I wanted to get more serious into breeding and showing. I have always had APBT’s as a kid.
In your opinion, what are the characteristics of a responsible dog breeder?
A responsible dog breeder should know everything about the dogs in their program, and try and stay on top of everything. Anything can happen at any moment with this breed, and knowledge is key.
What type of diet do you keep your dogs on throughout the year?
I keep my dogs on a kibble diet. I feed them Diamond Dog food.
What is your favorite bloodline?
I love Razors Edge style dogs with the more old school look. However, Daxline (Gottiline), is always a great tool to add to your program.
Do you currently show any of your dogs?
I try and stay as active as I can in showing. Recently, I began showing Frenchie’s. I have one 9-month old male frenchie named Yogi. I show Yogi, my male Bully Raw (Ch. Grimm Son), and my female Bully Piglet (Stone X Pretty Daughter).
What advice does Slow N Low Bullys have for any upcoming breeders?
My advice to anyone who wants to start breeding, is that it will get hard at times, but don’t let anything knock you down. Take that fail as a lesson and keep moving forward with your dream.
Who do you look up to in the bully game, and why?
I look up to a lot of people. I have many friends and kennel partners that are here to help, as well as I am here to help them. As a member of the Rez Bully Team, we are there for each other when anyone needs help, and we are always willing to help any other kennel with questions. I hate when someone get turned away or discouraged, because they want to learn more about the bully breed.
Tell us about one of Slow N Low Bullys main goals for the year 2019.
I would love to get more Champion titles in my yard, and to have many successful breeding’s in the future.
Describe how you would want things, in the bully breed Community, to be 10 years from now.
I would love to see everyone with there own style of American Bully. Nowadays, a lot of dogs look the same and run with same bloodline. I would love to see a perfect functioning dog, that everyone loves. These dogs should be able to walk, run, and function like a regular dog, while maintaining all the wow factors that make the American Bully amazing.
What separates Slow N Low Bullys from the competition?
At Slow N Low Bullys, we have a lot of old school bloodlines, and some nice show quality blood. We try and please everyone. Every customer and puppy have to be the right fit for each other. I’m very blunt and will let you know anything straight up. We don’t hide anything, and you can check out any dog in our yard.
What other hobbies or interests do you take part in?
We are apart of a Native American Bully show team called Rez Bully Team. We are a few kennels, from a few California Indian tribes, and we just love to have a good time and show our dogs. I also sing Desert Cahuilla Indian Birdsongs for my tribe. Specifically, the Torres Martinez Dersert Cahuilla Indians, located in Thermal, CA.
I also love to play baseball/softball with friends and family, but mainly with my sons and younger brother.
What do you think of Bully Girl Magazine?
Bully Girl Magazine is great exposure for kennels. Bully Girl allows you to do research, by giving you insight into other kennels, and their programs. I love how they bring the bully community together.
