Who is Turner Bullies?
State your name, and where your kennel is located.
My name is Xavier Turner. My kennel, Turner Bullies, is located Atlanta, GA.
What type of dogs do you breed? Tell our readers what inspired you to get involved with that particular breed?
The American Bully is my breed of choice, this is because a relative of mine introduced me to the breed. I’ve always been a dog lover. It seemed like the American Bully had a bad reputation associated with them. I knew better and wanted to do my part to help change the stigma that was attached to this breed.
What type of diet do you keep your dogs on throughout the year?
I use a combination of diets, ranging from raw, to grain free dog feed. “4 Health” is a brand of food I’ve come to love.
What is your favorite bloodline?
My favorite bloodline is Kryptonite, because they are consistently producing thick body, and thick boned dogs.
Do you currently show, any of your dogs?
No, not at the moment. My focus now is building a strong line of productions. But I will start showing again in 2018.
What advice do you have for any upcoming breeders?
Breeding takes passion. Only participate if its something you truly love.
What do you think, is the most difficult thing for people in the bullygame to overcome?
The biggest thing is creativity. It’s ok to produce something different and be unique.
How do you think they can overcome this thing?
By following the passion instead of the trend that lead them to start breeding in the beginning.
Who do you look up to in the bully game, and why?
I’m noticing a lot of promising up and coming kennels, but my favorite still is Bossy Kennels. I’ve been following her since I entered the bully world, and she produces great muscular and athletic dogs.
Tell us about one of Turner Bullies most memorable moments, in 2017 so far.
One of my most memorable moments this year is when my female Sasha Ray, and male Sinister photos went viral.
Describe how you would want things, in the bully Community, to be 10 years from now.
I would like to see everything get bigger and better. I want us to keep progressing as a community.
What separates your kennel from the competition?
At Turner Bullies, our uniqueness and attention to detail is what separates us from any competition.
What other hobbies or interests do you take part in?
I love photography and cars.
What motto do you live by?
Everything’s better with cheese. Seriously though, its ok to be you!
What do you think of Bully Girl Magazine?
Bully Girl Magazine is great as it is! I personally wouldn’t change a thing. It’s great for the culture, and great at keeping the community informed.
