Head Honchoz Bulliez - American Bully Breeder

State your name, your kennel, and where your kennel is located.
Our names are Mac Robinson (owner), and Tay Briscoe (co-founder), of Head Honchoz Bulliez. Established in 2018, you can find us in Southern Maryland.

What type of dogs do you breed, and what inspired you to get involved with that particular breed?
Head Honchoz Bulliez breeds American Bullies. However, we hope to get into brewing some of the other bully breeds in the near future. Growing up as a teen, I have always had American Pit Bull Terriers. I’ve always been into bigger dogs. My first dog was a Great Dane named Zeus at the age of 4. My dad brought Zeus home for my birthday. I immediately fell in love with the Big Black Crop Eared Beast!

I had Zeus until about 10 years old, when we moved from PA to MD. My next dog was a pit bull, with many thereafter. Followed by a couple Staffordshires, and a Presa Canario named Envy. Envy was my heart. I actually have a big tattoo for Envy on my back.

Back then I met my partner Terrell Yates, of Grind & Shine Kennels (MD). Terrell has the mother and father of my foundation stud, Honcho! Terrell introducted me to the American Bullies and I fell in love with there temperament, size, and obedience. Ever since then I have been hooked on the American Bully, no matter the size.

What type of diet do you keep your dogs on throughout the year?
My dogs are on a raw diet at the moment. This raw diet consists of: ground beef, ground turkey, chicken thighs, liver, bison, salmon, sardines, blueberries, strawberries, carrots, broccoli, raw eggs, and coconut oil. Of course, not all at the same time, but broken down twice a day with plenty of exercise and activities. You have to have your protein down correct, or it’s a waste of time and money, but I like the results of the raw diet.

What is your favorite bloodline?
My favorite bloodline right now has to be the Stackz bloodline. Abraham of the Blue Kingdom Gorilla Army introduced me to the Stackz bloodline.  Stackz bloodline has a perfect combination of Gotti and Razors Edge. If you aren’t familiar, you will be real soon.

Do you currently show, any of your dogs?
I currently do not show any of my dogs. However, we have a few coming up, that will definitely be at shows in the near future.

What advice do you have for any upcoming breeders?
Create your own lane. Go with your own vision and work at making it better for your each and every day. The only limit is the one you set!

What do you think, is the most difficult thing for people in the bully game to overcome?
I think the most difficult thing to overcome in the bully game is the hating amongst peers. A lot of breeders spend to much time putting the next breeder’s vision down, instead of suggesting ways they can improve. Don’t get me wrong, a lot of people have their own vision, and are going to stick to it no matter what you say. That’s cool, but instead of bashing them, keep it moving.

How do you think they can overcome this thing?
To overcome this we must come together, and stop being so independent minded. Head Honchoz Bulliez and Grind & Shine Kennels are all about sharing info and coming together. The goal is to produce some of the best dogs we possibly can to our liking. We even meet up and ride to dog shows together.

Head Honchoz Bulliez is a big family that is trying to unify this game. We want to make the world that the bully breed isn’t just big, strong looking dogs, used for breeding and making money. We love all of our dogs. They are family. It really is a lifestyle!

Who do you look up to in the bully game, and why?
There are so many great bully breeders in the game right now. I would say I look up to Bossy Kennels. They have a beautiful breed of XL Bullies, with branches all over. Also, Blueberry Kennels, Coleone Kennels, and Muscletone Bullys. Then you have Inimitable Bullies, who also takes great photos at all of the dog shows.

Following up would be Solid Ground Bullys (home of Shamrock), Abraham of Blue Kingdom Gorilla Army, and Habibi of Beverly Hills Exotic Bulldogs. Of course I can’t forget my partners and friends and Grind & Shine Kennels. There are tons of people out there, but off top these would be my favorite at the moment. They all bring something nice to the bully game!

Tell us about one of Head Honchoz Bulliez main goals going into the year 2018.
Our main goal going into 2018 is to establish our business, and make it bigger and better each day. We strive for success. The goal is to breed loyal, lovable, and healthy pups that will make the next person or family happy and complete.

Describe how you would want things, in the bully breed Community, to be 10 years from now.
Ten years from now I want the bully community to be as big as it can possibly be. I want the world to see how great a companion the bully breed can be. I would also like to see more kennels working together to keep this amazing breed going.

What separates Head Honchoz Bulliez from the competition?
Head Honchoz Bulliez isn’t out here trying to be like anybody else. We have respect for those who are dedicated and devoted to this bully game. We love collaborating and meeting new kennels and breeders across the world, whether it’s at a dog show or on social media.

It will take some time to get where we want, and produce exactly what we are looking for. We know the wait will be worth it for everybody in the future. A lot of charitable work is also in our near future to help the bully community in any way we can.

What other hobbies or interests do you take part in?
