Island Boy Kennelz

State your name, your kennel, and where your kennel is located.
My name is MOE, founder of Island Boy Kennelz. You can find us in Miami, Florida.

What type of dogs do you breed?
My inspiration for the breed came from the American Pit Bull Terrier and American Bulldog. That’s where it all started for me. I grew up around animals my whole life, and became attached since I was a kid.

In your opinion, what are the characteristics of a responsible dog breeder?
Responsible dog breeders should have the proper knowledge on the breed they deal with, and know the pros and cons of that breed. Responsible breeders provide a good home, good food and proper exercise for their dogs.

What type of diet do you keep your dogs on throughout the year?
Throughout the year, my dogs are on a high protein kibble & raw diet. Preferably Victor for kibble, and raw with mixed meats & poultry.

How many times a day do you feed your dogs?
My older dogs eat 2 times a day, and pups are fed 3 times a day, with a high source of protein.

How do you keep your dogs in shape throughout the year?
My dogs exercise 2-3 times a day. Full body walking, running, jumping, and bite work.

Picks are made at 7 weeks. Payment in full is due before the pups turn 7 weeks of age.

On litters where there are not enough of a particular sex, customers with deposits can move their deposit over to any available puppy for sale, upcoming breeding, or stud. Simply pay deposit and message with pick reserved.

Do you currently show any of your dogs?
Currently none of my dogs have been to shows. We are training and preparing for upcoming events.

What advice do you have for any upcoming breeders?
Choose the breed you love, set a goal and work hard until you’ve achieved it. Do not under value your bloodline!

What do you think is the most difficult thing for people in the bully game to overcome?
The most difficult thing in the bully game to overcome is health issues.

How do you think they can overcome this thing?
You have to be picky about your animals, and very concerned about their health. It’s all about how you maintain their living spaces and activities. Set up frequent check ups with your local vet.

Who do you look up to in the bully game, and why?
Louis V line, Venom line and Palacio Bully Camp because they’ve proven to be the best at what they do and “PBC” is local and becoming a top producer. Great service and productions are key.

Tell us about one of Island Boy Kennelz main goals for the year 2020.
My main goal is to be well prepared for growth. Health is our top priority. We are hoping to make a name and win some championships in the near future, god-willing.

Describe how you would want things, in the bully breed Community, to be 10 years from now.
Well as a young breeder, I can’t ask for much. I would want better communication with other breeders, as well as easier access to pedigrees and lineage. Unity (Teamwork) plays a major role in sales and customer satisfaction. I would also like to see more local events and opportunities.

What separates Island Boy Kennelz from the competition?
The time invested into each dog and care provided on a daily basis. I make sure every dog in my kennel serves its purpose, with no limitations or faults. All of my dogs are obedience trained. Cleanliness is a top priority.

What other hobbies or interests do you take part in?
I love music, sports, cars, jewelry, and fashion.

What do you think of Bully Girl Magazine?
Bully Girl is a reliable source for general knowledge of the bully breed. They provide insight into experienced breeders, and those on the rise as well. Bully Girl also shares different experiences in the bully game, which is always useful.
