King Coles Bullies: American Bully Breeder | Connecticut

King Coles Bullies

State your name, your kennel, and where your kennel is located.
My name is Ryshawn Cole, owner of King Coles Bullies. along with my extra support staff Brother, Ryheem Bullock and cousin Jamari Cole. You can find us in Windsor, CT.

What type of dogs do you breed, and what inspired you to get involved with that particular breed?
We’re currently breeding American Bullies. I was drawn to this breed due to seeing smaller dogs with bone, girth, and massive heads. I had to be involved! Growing up just about everyone in my family had a dog. We are a dog loving family.

What type of diet do you keep your dogs on throughout the year?
I use a mixture of raw food , diamond dry food and can food with liquid gold.. I received a few tips from other kennels and incorporated that into my program and it’s been working very well for my kennel.

What is your favorite bloodline?
I wouldn’t say that I have a favorite bloodline. What I will say is that there are certain traits that I love from lines. I just love the variations that you get when you outcross bloodlines and when you line breed. A few to name would be Daxline, Miagi, Mikeland, Muscletone, Gottiline, Razoredge, and the list goes on. I love them all.

Do you currently show, any of your dogs?
I haven’t got to the point of showing any of my dogs at the sanctioned events. However, I would love to show very soon.

What advice does King Coles Bullies have for any upcoming breeders?
My advice would be to follow and stay true to what your vision is. Focus on the reason that you started breeding. Someone can sell you their vision and that may not work for you. Also, don’t be afraid to ask for help. I will ask whoever I have to, if I don’t understand something. Even if it’s just for some extra ideas to improve anything in my yard.

What do you think, is the most difficult thing for people in the bully game to overcome?
One of the hardest things I’ve seen so far, is people keeping their word and being truthful about their breedings. Also, being more professional in conducting business.

How do you think they can overcome this thing?
I overcame that buy trusting my vision, and staying true to what I believe. I knew what would work best for me.

Who do you look up to in the bully game, and why?
I personally look up to Terry and Daniell Stewart @sicliy234_t_d_s_bullies and dubz.t! They have helped me more than anyone I know. They allowed me to use their amazing stud Cassius Clay. The pups are only a few days old and look amazing. We have one more breedings planned as well. Talking with them gave me more insight than I ever thought I would have. I really took notice to how their business is ran, and developed a relationship with them before we spoke on breeding. Whenever I was stuck and needed some direction, they helped me without hesitation. Often times people see other kennels as competition. They wholeheartedly just love to help, and want to push me to my full potential.

Tell us about one of King Coles Bullies main goals for the year 2018.
My main goal this year is to produce healthy, and functional American Bullies. It’s been a long road, but I have everything in place, and the right people behind me to present my ideas to the bully world.

Describe how you would want things, in the bully breed Community, to be 10 years from now.
Ten years from now I would love to see more unity, togetherness, and healthier dogs. If we can change that, and come together more, the possibilities are endless.

What separates King Coles Bullies from the competition?
I believe what separates us from other kennels is that we are a family and we love what we are doing . We compete with each other, but the end result is always is to create something new and exciting. We don’t look at other kennels as competition. I always told myself I wouldn’t compete. I just want to produce the best that I can for myself and my family. We have our reason why we started breeding, and other kennels have theirs. So I get my satisfaction from my family.

What other hobbies or interests do you take part in?
I enjoy learning more about bloodlines. Outside of animals, I write and produce music. I have a cousin that is a music producer. Music is something my family enjoys. Also, I have friends that formed a group out of Hartford, Connecticut called A-Squad. I also love boxing, so I’m hoping to pick that up one day. I have interest in the real estate market and business management. My goal is to buy properties to invest in and rent as well. My real passion is working with special needs children. I currently work with children with autism, and I love every minute of it. Most of all I enjoy taking care of my family.

What do you think of Bully Girl Magazine?
I love everything you guys are doing! You help push this breed, and help kennels like ours get exposure on a big scale. Also I love the fact that Bully Girl Magazine is open to all styles of American Bullies. I hope you enjoy what King Coles Bullies has to offer.
