Hi, my name is Alayna Tobin. Our kennel is called Phantom Bully Kennels, and we are based in Ireland.

We breed XL American Bully’s. It first started with a love for Pit Bulls. My partner has been breeding them for the last 10 years, and then I fell in love with bullies.

What is your favorite bloodline?
My favorite bloodline would have to be BGK (Big Gemini Kennels), The Rock, and Cujo. Their productions are all unbelievable.

In your opinion, what are the characteristics of a responsible dog breeder?
I think a responsible breeder should care about the health and well being of all their dogs. Responsible breeders focus on keeping the breed correct and functional.

What type of diet do you keep your dogs on throughout the year?
Our dogs diet is mainly Purina Pro Plan kibble with some raw throughout the week.

How many times a day do you feed your dogs?
We feed our dogs twice a day.

How do you keep your dogs in shape throughout the year?
We do a lot of walking over different terrains, tug of war, spring pole and flirt pole to keep our dogs in shape .

Walk us through the process of purchasing a pup from your kennel from start to finish.
First, we do a social media check. Then we will allow you to pay a deposit. Puppies can be collected at 8 weeks old, or if shipped internationally, would go at 4 months old.

Our dog Ace is a 1st place show winner. However, at the moment we are not doing any shows due to Covid-19, but we will be back with a bang.

The know it all’s. Yes, there are humble people in the bully game, but there are also those that think they are better than everyone else.

How do you think they can overcome this thing?
Stay humble and do your thing. Don’t lose track of your vision.

Who do you look up to in the bully game, and why?
Howard, from Sparta Bully. Howard stayed humble throughout his kennel’s booming. He is always willing to help someone and answer any questions they may have. In my opinion, Howard has changed the merle scene on the world stage. He also gives a lot of his profits to charity.

Getting one step closer to finalizing our vision “combining the monster”.

Describe how you would want things, in the bully breed Community, to be 10 years from now.
It would be nice to see some of these dogs with nice colors and some good size. Most XL Tri’s average around 100 pounds. I’d like to see them bigger, like the solid color dogs.

What separates Phantom Bully Kennels from the competition?
At Phantom Bullies, we have our own vision. We aren’t just breeding for the sake of it. That’s not saying other kennels don’t have vision, but the majority don’t.

What other hobbies or interests do you take part in?
I’m a full time mother, but I like to draw in my spare time .

What do you think of Bully Girl Magazine?
I think it’s great to hear other people’s opinions, insights and experiences with the breed.
