State your name, your kennel, and where your kennel is located.
Hi my name is Dwayne Forrest, owner of Stacked Up Bullies Australia. You can find us in Tamworth NSW Australia.
What type of dogs do you breed, and what inspired you to get involved with that particular breed?
I breed clean and correct American Pocket Bullies. The general appearance, size and temperament of the American Bully inspired me to get involved with the breed!
What is your favorite bloodline?
So, I have a few favorite bloodlines, but my overall favorites would have to be Louis V Line and the Eminents Boss Blood.
In your opinion, what are the characteristics of a responsible dog breeder?
The characteristics I would look for in a breeder would be trustworthiness, honesty and respect.
What type of diet do you keep your dogs on throughout the year?
I mainly feed my dogs a variety of different raw meats, and sometimes high quality kibble (Royal Canin or Ivory Coat).
How many times a day do you feed your dogs?
I feed my adult dogs three times a day, and I feed my puppies four times a day.
How do you keep your dogs in shape throughout the year?
Our dogs love exercise. We take them to the river to swim, and we also take them to parks to run and play. Nothing too serious, but we keep them in shape.
Walk us through the process of purchasing a pup from your kennel from start to finish.
Alright, so we normally have clients on our waiting lists for litters. Once our puppies are born, we contact our clients who have been waiting, and allow them to place a deposit. Once the deposits are taken, then our clients make their choice on which pup they want at around 4 weeks of age. Then by 8 weeks, all of our puppies are ready to go with their new owners.
Do you currently show any of your dogs?
No, I don’t currently show, but you never know what the future holds.
What advice does Stacked Up Bullies Australia have for any upcoming breeders?
My advice to upcoming breeders would be make sure you do your research on the breed, and create your own vision.
What do you think is the most difficult thing for people in the bully game to overcome?
Jealousy is a big thing in the bully game. There are a lot of people worrying about what others are doing, instead of focusing on their own dogs/kennel.
How do you think they can overcome this thing?
I think they could overcome this by just doing their own thing, worrying about their own kennel and staying in their own lane.
Who do you look up to in the bully game, and why?
I have a few mates I look up to in the bully world, but mostly I look up to and respect Ben Jeromin from Game Over Bullies Australia. Ben is a great breeder. The knowledge he has for this breed is immaculate. Ben is a top bloke!
Tell us about one of Stacked Up Bullies Australia main goals for the year 2020.
My vision is to produce some bad ass clean and correct American Bullies. Also, my goal is to help promote and better the breed here in Australia.
Describe how you would want things in the bully breed Community to be 10 years from now.
I want the bully breed to be on a whole new level here in Australia, with everyone producing phenomenal dogs with great temperaments.
What separates Stacked Up Bullies Australia from the competition?
I don’t worry about what everyone else is doing. My only competition is myself. I am here to produce fantastic pocket bullies. Our dogs are extremely loved, and are a part of our family. That’s what Separates us from the rest.
What other hobbies or interests do you take part in?
I also breed birds, and I love motorbikes and fishing!
What do you think of Bully Girl Magazine?
Bully Girl Magazine is awesome. The magazine and website are great resources for information on the bully breed. I highly recommend it!
