Steel House Bullyz: XL American Bully Breeder | England

Steel House Bullyz

State your name, your kennel, and where your kennel is located.
My name is Liam Gray. I am 14 years old and I am the owner of Steel House Bullyz. You can find Steel House Bullyz in Coventry, England.

What type of dogs do you breed, and what inspired you to get involved with that particular breed?
I breed XL American Bullies. I was inspired by seeing the dogs on my dads screen saver. He had pics of the dogs from the early 2000’s. A few years later my dads friends, the owners of the Lions Liar kennels, began specializing in American Bullies and that’s how it started. I fell in love with the look and temperament straight away. After that, I knew I had to have a pack of this beautiful breed.

What type of diet do you keep your dogs on throughout the year?
I feed all my dogs a raw diet. During the colder months I add an 80% meat 20% fruit and vegetable kibble called Eden. This is to bulk the dogs that live out doors in the kennels.  Sometimes I add a raw egg and shell.

What is your favorite bloodline?
ICK RGB and Crak Kennels . I Love the old school look and I respect the foundation kennels. Also, I love the crazy drive from Greg at Crak Kennels. Greg’s work is tight and very very consistent. His dog King Murdock is a beast, and a producer.

Do you currently show any of your dogs?
I will be this year at the ABKC Halloween Scare Fest in England. I can’t wait!

What advice does Steel House Bullyz have for any upcoming breeders?
Stay humble and stay loyal to your vision. In my eyes, the most important thing is to go and see the parents of the pup you are interested in. There are too many photoshop apps these days. Listen more than you talk. Let the dog’s pictures and productions do the talking for you.

Who do you look up to in the bully game, and why?
It goes without saying LionsLair Kennels. Simon and Karl were and still are my dads friends from their school days. The lions lair came from nothing, just a back garden shed beleave it or not.

Through thick and thin, hard times and good times, together they made it to the top of the UK Bully Game. Lions Lair is now one of the best American bully kennels in the world . Lions Lair Kennels aim to better the breed time and time again.

Unfortunately, Karl passed away last year and now it’s just Simon, but he continues too raise the bar in the UK.

Tell us about one of Steel House Bullyz main goals for the year 2019.
To produce our first litter off XL’s DIVA X ZOOMER, and see the happy faces on collection day.

Describe how you would want things, in the bully breed Community, to be 10 years from now.
Humble and still going strong, if not bigger than ever. We should still be able to tell one bloodline from another by there traits and looks, rather than having to ask.

What separates Steel House Bullyz from the competition?
I believe in my vision, and I aim to make the breed better. I keep my dogs straight, strong and calm with a strong mindset and nerves of steel, whilst trying to maintain the original bloodline traits.

What other hobbies or interests do you take part in?
I enjoy training at the gym and playing Xbox with my friends from school.

What do you think of Bully Girl Magazine?
I think it’s brilliant. Bully Girl is a platform that is heard worldwide throughout the bully scene. Bully Girl Magazine showcases the best dogs in the breed, while giving everyone an insight into individual kennels. That is very intriguing to a real bully lover, and we love it even more for asking us to be a part of it. Thank you guys again!
