A1 Authentic Bully Kamp

Who is A1 Authentic Bully Kamp?

State your name, and where your kennel is located.
My name is Tone, of A1 Authentic Bully Kamp. Our kennel is based out of East Orlando, Florida.

What type of dogs do you breed, and what inspired you to get involved with that particular breed?
I breed American Bullies, pocket class, extreme, and I’m into the exotic movement as well. My main inspiration was blessed upon me by my pops, and the way he raised me and my brothers around the original pit bull terriers our whole life. From that I built my vision for the smallest, compact yet still active bully. They need to have a healthy and powerful drive, solid girth, while still possesing a loyal and family friendly temperament.

What type of diet do you keep your dogs on throughout the year?
I preferably stick to grain free kibble, and mainly use a salmon flavor of the Victor brand. Also, I treat them to high end raw every now and then. Lastly, I give them vitamins, such as Bully Max.

What is your favorite bloodline?
At the moment, hands down my favorite bloodlines that I have in my yard are Miagi and Dax. I have lines that branch off Blue Demon, Mr. Wifi, Freakshow, Prettyboy tris.

Do you currently show, any of your dogs?
I have visited a couple local ABKC shows to get a feel oh how things are handled. I do have big dreams on perfecting my production and showcasing my dogs. IBR & UBKC is some of the main ones I would like to have Mr. Wraith, and Pretty Pimp, at real soon!

What advice do you have for any upcoming breeders?
Some great advice I would love to share with upcoming breeders, that I have learned so far is: Know what you are building, and stick to your vision. Understand like most other hobbies, it comes down to the competition part of it, where there will be a lot of love and hate from critics.

What do you think, is the most difficult thing for people in the bully game to overcome?
For most, the grind in the beginning is difficult to overcome. The struggle that you have to go through, from taking L’s, and buying nice pups that don’t turn out how you expect. You have to use it all as lessons needed to succeed. Study and research different bloodlines to avoid certain flaws and health issues. Beware of overhyped dogs. Be careful not to waste time and money investing in trends.

How do you think they can overcome this thing?
Heavy research, is something that I believe helps me overcome these issues. I watch which dogs are champing out at shows and pay attention to which dogs that make a killing off of productions. I listen to everybodys opinions, whether right or wrong, but I still stick to my own vision.

Who do you look up to in the bully game, and why?
Well of course, I look up to the biggest names in the game such as: Ed Shepherd, Dave Wilson, Roger out of WCG, George Soto and the whole Bully Camp Line, Ivan and Luigi out of Interstate Bullies, and the whole Carolina Bully Farm family. I love all their different styles and the work that they all put in. I’ve learned a lot from all of them and look forward to becoming just as big, if not bigger than them one day.

Tell us about one of A1 Authentic Bully Kamp’s most memorable moments, in 2017 so far.
My most memorable moment this year has to be the amount of love I’ve been getting for my two keepers off my first production: Mr Wraith and his littermate sister Indica. I turned down a $10k offer on Mr. Wraith, knowing what I had planned for them is going to make a lot of noise in this game. So just follow me and watch out for A1ABullyKamp.

Describe how you would want things, in the bully Community, to be 10 years from now.
I would like the love for the Bully Community to continue it’s growth, and to see the exotic bully’s make their official label and have their standards to be accepted in as many registries, and shows as possible.

What separates A1 Authentic Bully Kamp from the competition?
I believe what separates A1A Bully Kamp from any competition is my vision. Everyone has a lot of different opinions, but I don’t let any of that distract me from what I got going on.

What other hobbies or interests do you take part in?
Another hobby I’m into, that also goes hand in hand with the bully game is photography. I love taking photos.

What motto do you live by?
Never give up! If you have a dream you strongly believe in, go for it and don’t slow down till you have it locked down!

What do you think of Bully Girl Magazine?
I think Bully Girl Mag is a great part of the bully community. To be able to promote and interact with other breeders, that are doing their thing is a blessing. I salute and appreciate the opportunity 100%. Thank you so much!
