What type of dogs do you breed, and what inspired you to get involved with that particular breed?
My husband and I started breeding American Pit Bull Terrier’s at first. I saw my 1st bully at a dog show and fell in love with the bully breed. Now we’re currently breeding Exotics, and Pockets Bullies.
What type of diet do you keep your dogs on throughout the year?
I feed my dogs Intimidator dog food and Raw mix. My dogs love to eat Pumpkin and sweet potato with meals. I like to use carrots, celery, and apples as treats.
What is Kush Town Bullys favorite bloodline?
The Gottiline bloodline is our favorite blood. However, we like the newer exotic looks such as Miagi, Dax, and Bullseye.
Do you currently show, any of your dogs?
No. we currently are not showing any dogs. But we have an up and coming stud, named Dirty Whiskey. We also have a few new litters that are about to drop.
What advice do you have for any upcoming breeders?
My advice would be, don’t be intimidated by the competition, stay true to you and your vision!
What do you think, is the most difficult thing for people in the bully game to overcome?
The most difficult thing to overcome is losing a litter or a dog. I know we are breeders, but family comes first, and they a big part of your family!
How do you think they can overcome this thing?
It’s not so much about overcoming. It’s more about figuring out a way that works for you to deal with everything that comes with breeding.
From the loss of a dog, to the bad deals gone wrong. Every day is a new adventure.
Who do you look up to in the bully game, and why?
Mario Salinas has been a big influence. There are also a lot of others such as: Interstate bullies, BullyCampLine, etc. They all work hard and have the promo game on point. I can’t help but to look up to them.
Tell us about one of Kush Town Bullys main goals going into the year 2018.
Our goals for 2018 are to go to a couple dog shows, have a few heathy litters, and start promoting our up-and-coming stud “Dirty Whiskey”.
Describe how you would want things, in the bully breed Community, to be 10 years from now.
I would like for the bully community to come together as one. There’s no need for so much negativity towards each other. We all have to learn how to respect everyone’s investments in this dog game. We all have different tastes.
What separates Kush Town Bullys from the competition?
It’s not always about the bag. Trust me, we all love money, and we all have to buy things. However, sometimes it’s a better feeling knowing that you placed a dog with a loving family. Not only are they getting a quality dog, but they are getting a forever companion.
What other hobbies or interests do you take part in?
My hobby is cooking. I have been on a plant based diet, and I love creating my own recipes and making my childhood favorites into a plant based meal. Right now all my time goes to my baby girl. I’m a new mom, trying to get to a hang of things.
What do you think of Bully Girl Magazine?
I love how you guys shine light on the misunderstood breed, and show love to all of the smaller company that support the breeds.
