My name is Frankie Velez of Uptown Bullyzz.You cand find us in Newark, NJ.
What type of dogs do you breed, and what inspired you to get involved with that particular breed?
I breed American Bullies of all varieties. My father really inspired me to be involved in the breed. He bred APBT’s, and had me around them since the age of 10, and really inspired me to fill in his shoes and take his place.
What type of diet do you keep your dogs on throughout the year?
I feed my dogs Victor Yukon Salmon Sweet Potato, and Coconut Oil throughout the year.
What is your favorite bloodline?
Personally, my favorite bloodline is Daxline for being an outstanding producer, and the changes he has made in the bully world.
Do you currently show, any of your dogs?
I currently do not show any of my dogs. However, I will start hitting the shows in 2019 to represent Uptown Bullyzz, and the bully community.
What advice do you have for any upcoming breeders?
My advice for upcoming breeders would be to follow your vision, and stick to it. Don’t let anyone bring you down. Also, take your time and promote your kennel.
What do you think, is the most difficult thing for people in the bully game to overcome?
The most difficult thing for people in the bully game to overcome is showing their true potential.
How do you think they can overcome this thing?
By working harder and pushing their limits.
Who do you look up to in the bully game, and why?
I look up to Marcos Moura, of Bully Zone Pet Supplies/Moura Bullies, and my family Sosa of 3000 Bullies. Also, I can’t forget Elio of The Bully Corp. The reason I look up to these 3 people is because they are very hard working guys. They’ve all helped me with the bully game when I first started. I really appreciate them for being there for me.
Tell us about one of your main goals for the year 2018.
Uptown Bullyzz main goal for the rest of 2018 is to get as much quality productions out as possible, while promoting our kennel and studs.
Describe how you would want things, in the bully breed Community, to be 10 years from now.
Ten years from now I would like the Bully Game to be more healthy by producing quality dogs to better the breed.
What separates your kennel from the competition?
We are not here to compete or hate. We are here to support and better the breed.
What other hobbies or interests do you take part in?
I do boxing. I also enjoy working with my dogs and taking care of my family.

I think Bully Girl Magazine is awesome! It’s a great way to get to know other underdog breeders and studs. You can also get information about past and upcoming shows. I really support Bully Girl, and hope to see their company grow through the generations.
