Tell our readers how BullyPedia came about, and what your vision was when it started.

BullyPedia went online March or April of 2010, and I did it as a hobby for me. The site quickly grew within months and i
knew i wanted to take it to the next level digitally. Back then, all i wanted was a website that I could add my dog’s pedigree in. I wanted it to almost be easy as emailing someone. That’s the key to anything to be successful, make it easy and fun, so users can keep coming back.

Where is BullyPedia based out of?

BP is based out of Virginia Beach, VA. With the launch of our certification program, we’re opening up a small office to process the demand of our certification program.

What is the new BullyPedia Certificate of Pedigree, and why does it benefit bully breed owners?

BullyPedia is unique, and is the first to offer a Pedigree Authentication service. There are no other companies that are
currently verifying, and authenticating american bully pedigrees. Also, due to the explosion of falsified documents,
BullyPedia Certified Pedigrees is a service that will benefit the bully community right now. Prior to our Certification Program, the breeder/seller (the person(s) who had a financial interest in the sale of a dog or pup) were the acting authenticator or expert during a transaction, or sale of the dog or pup.

This conflict of interest made it difficult for first time, and second time buyers. The new people getting into this breed are put into a situation where they had to simply take the word of the breeder. The breeder was acting as the authenticator of what they were selling, rather than the quality of the dog or pup. Even if the intentions of the breeder were good, the inherent conflict of interest remained. That’s where BullyPedia Certification comes in. When you buy a BP Certified dog, or submit a new dog for authentication, you get the most accurate pedigree lineage in the bully community. You’ll never have to rely on the breeders subjective opinions, or the word of the seller alone. BullyPedia puts the value back into our breed.

BullyPedia’s strict certification procedures provide the highest level of objectivity possible. Our staff do not buy dogs, sell pups, trade, barter dogs, or have any financial interest whatsoever in the dogs and pedigrees we authenticate. Our mission is to deliver the most authentic and accurate pedigrees around.

The Advantages of BullyPedia’s Certification Program:

BullyPedia’s business is pedigrees and protecting your certified pedigrees from unathorized tampering or modification is
our top priority. Using state of the art, digital and proprietary methods, BullyPedia’s team of pedigree experts, render unbiased third party opinions on the authenticity of the dog pedigree presented to us, regardless of the registry. When you see a Certificate of Pedigree displaying our unique Document ID sticker or a pedigree link that contains a “CP” title
in the registered name, you can rest easy and be confident that the dog, and its lineage has been properly authenticated, and certified by the experts at BullyPedia Certified Pedigrees.

Standardized Authentication & Certification Protocols:

Every BullyPedia Certified Pedigree is closely inspected for:

1. Matching Sire, Dam, Grand Sire, Grand Dam, Color, Sex, and Date of birth.

2. The dog in the pedigree link must match the dog in submitted documents.
3. Registry numbers must match that of the dog and pedigree presented.

4. BullyPedia contacts the breeder that produced the dog presented.

5. Submitted documents are digitally scanned and housed securely in our servers.

Is the BullyPedia Certificate of Pedigree, for ABKC registered dogs only, or can people register dogs from any registry?
As of now, we only accept ABKC for American Bullies, ADBA for American Pitbull Terriers, UKC for American Pitbull
Terriers, and AKC for American Staffordshire Terriers.

Where do you see BullyPedia 10 years from now?

I see BullyPedia being the leading authority in American Bully geneology, it’s Heritage and it’s lineage much like PSA
authenticates baseball cards for authenticity, BullyPedia will authenticate American Bully pedigrees for the community and provide tools to breeders to develop the next generation of American Bullies.

Speak on the current status of the bully breed, and the community.

The status of the bully breed is looking bright. I’m seeing better quality dogs coming into the show ring, and i’ve seen some nice up and coming dogs on both the west and east coasts.

What advice do you have for anyone looking to gett ith the bully breed?

My advice would be to stay positive and don’t let anyone tell you it can’t be done.

What other hobbies or interests do you enjoy, when you’re not busy running BullyPedia?

I used to be a battle DJ competing through out the United States, so i still rock the ones and twos at home when not traveling or attending dog shows. I also collect sneakers, I can’t get enough of em’, know what i mean…

Do you have a kennel or own any dogs?

I have 3 dogs at home. I would like to do more breedings and get more dogs but BP is my main focus. If i get to the point where the day to day operations of BP slows down, then i’ll probably look into getting more dogs. For now, 3 is enough. LOL.

What motto do you live by?

“Success is not by accident or hap-hazzard effort, it is by molded by hard work, commitment and dedication to the task at hand.”

What do you think of BGM?

Man, BGM is my magazine of choice! A long time BP affiliate, and a dedicated company putting out the best magazines out. As for LeVar, that dude don’t sleep, he puts out quality mag, after quality mag, hittin you with bangin’ BGM issues each month.

What’s more to say about BGM that hasn’t been said already? They are a top notch company with fresh and creative ideas to keep you coming back for more. At least I know I do! Thank you again BGM, for your continued support of BP!
