Interview with Rob & Hannah of Exotic Blues Kennel

Exotic Blues Kennel

Exotic Blues KennelState your name, and tell us where your kennel is located.

We are Robert Vinales & Hannah Marrero. Our Kennel is Exotic Blues Kennels, conveniently located in Passaic, New Jersey.

How many dogs does your kennel consist of?

Right now we own 8 adults and co-own a few more.

How often do you have breedings or pups available?

We have breedings all throughout the year, and often several at a time to choose from. We have something for every budget.

What breeds does your kennel consist of?

We breed primarily American Bullies, but we also still serve a demand for Blue Nose APBTs.

What bloodlines do you breed?

We breed Gottiline, Remyline, and Razor’s Edge blood primarily. We recently added Kingpinline to our line-up, and are very excited about that.

Are there any other bloodlines you’d like to incorporate into your yard?

Mr. M.I.A.G.I. Blood. Kingpinline. We just bred our Pocket Foundation Female, Absinthe (East End Empire’s Grey Goose x Cola of HBPK) to Hall of Fame’s Mr. Beast Mode of Connecticut Blue Bullies Kennels (BullyCampline Mr. M.I.A.G.I. x H.O.F SNOOKIE (ABKC CH. LIL RIZZY x H.O.F. MAMBA)).

What kennel clubs are your dogs registered by?
They are mostly Dual-Registered, some Triple. Purple Ribbon UKC (United Kennel Club), ABKC (American Bully Kennel Club), and ADBA (American Dog Breeders Association).

What type of diet do you keep your bullies on, and please explain why?

We mainly feed Raw Diet Dog Food, and occasionally incorporate a high protein dry kibble in the blend. The Raw that we feed consists of muscle meat, finely ground bone, and organ meat made from beef. We start feeding Raw to all produced pups at 5 weeks of age. However, we also feed pups a high protein premium puppy kibble, so that they may be accustomed to any feeding preference. We also distribute the Raw Diet Dog Food to select breeders and customers. For more information, visit www.ExoticBluePits.com. We all know the benefits of feeding raw, some of which include better health and immune system, a shiny-healthy coat, consistent odorless stools, clean teeth and gums, better breath, but our favorite is the extreme increase in muscle tone.

What is the most important thing that you learned from dealing with this breed?

As a breeder, you must live by a certain code of ethics, to first and foremost protect the continued health of the breed. Breeding is not for everyone. It is important to us as breeders to interview prospective customers, in order to ensure the continued health and safety of the animal.

What do you think of Bully Girl Magazine?

We’d like to thank BGM, the Carter’s and the crew for their continued hospitality, and for their immense contribution to the Bully culture as a whole. We love that Bully Girl Magazine has given breeders and owners the opportunity to showcase our Bullies in a positive light. We absolutely love the magazine and everything it stands for. We wish BGM continued success.
